Membership and its benefits
Pittwater Probus offers its members a friendship group comprising local
residents from a range of work and professional backgrounds. Monthly meetings
are held at Mona Vale Golf Club – a most attractive venue that offers all necessary
facilities. Selected speakers covering a wide range of topics make presentations
The club also organises recreational activities and major functions throughout
Club members are eligible to use International Travel Insurance organised by the
Probus parent organisation. Cover is available for members and partners up to 100 years of age.
Pittwater Probus Club is a men only club of about 80 members. We meet on the second Tuesday of every month at Mona Vale Golf Club. The order of proceedings commence at 10 00 am with a formal meeting lasting 30 minutes which includes a 5 minute talk by one of our members on a topic of his choosing. We then have a break for coffee and catch up between members. The guest speaker commences at 11 00 am and includes time for questions.
The meeting wraps up at 12 noon. Most members stay on for a light lunch and drink in the Golf Club Lounge (at each member’s cost). Partners are welcomed to attend the guest speakers presentation and all our social functions, but not the formal monthly meetings. We have a range of social activities including golf, an (hypothetical) investment discussion group, BBQs, trivia nights, boating plus a monthly newsletter.
If this is what you are looking for, you are most welcome to join us on the second Tuesday of each month at 10 00 am as a guest to check us out! Please ask for me or our Welfare Office Geoff Sheppard. You can fill out an Application to join, at the meeting, if you so wish.
